The Best Brand award has been designed to help consumers across Australia identify which brands of air conditioners are manufacturing high quality products, with a high level of performance and reliability. The Best Brand award is based on a combination of product testing and consumer reliability and satisfaction surveys that are completed by over 3,489 CHOICE® members.
The Best Brand Score awarded by CHOICE® is based on a combination of a manufacturers average test score on models tested in CHOICE’s® two annual reviews of air conditioning products that test the models heating and cooling efficiency and airflow, the Brands’ reliability and satisfaction rating based on the respondents to the survey and the recommended ratio that looks at the number of units CHOICE® recommends in their reviews.
For the 2021 Best Brand result MHIAA once again scored exceptionally well to outperform all other brands with a reliability score of 90% and a satisfaction score of 94% for an overall Best Brand Score of 74% and therefore taking out the award once again in 2021.
In their final report CHOICE® highlighted that while the Best Brand eligibility is a tough category, MHIAA wins the Best Brand Award by having an excellent test scores for reliability and satisfaction. To be considered for the Best Brand Award, CHOICE® must have tested a minimum of five models in their biannual reviews and a brand must have received a minimum of 50 responses to the CHOICE® member survey. Brands must have above average test, reliability, and satisfaction scores for consideration. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries wins Best Brand by having above average test scores and excellent scores for reliability and customer satisfaction.
