MHIAA supports Australian Red Cross
According to a report released by the Australian Business Roundtable for Disaster Resilience and Safer Communities, the total costs of natural disasters in Australia is forecast to increase from $18.2 billion to $39 billion per year by 2050.
And something even worse than these staggering numbers is the footprint that natural disasters, like floods and bushfires, leave on the lives of people affected by them. Recovering from a catastrophe like this is a complex process that may take months, even years to overcome.
Australian Red Cross disaster relief & Recovery
This summer we are teaming up with Australian Red Cross to support their Disaster Relief & Recovery efforts. The program is specifically designed to help communities recover from natural disasters that repeatedly occur during summer in Australia.
Red Cross has been supporting Australians in a variety of ways since 1914 and has been recognised as being the first disaster response organisation in Australia.

The program will also help to assist with community recovery by helping communities understand and plan their recovery process; and supports governments and agencies to ensure on good practice in community recovery.
