MHIAA Awarded Best Brand of Air Conditioner for 2018 by CHOICE®

Standing tall against the ‘best of the best’, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioners Australia (MHIAA) has been selected by CHOICE® as the Best Brand of Air Conditioners for 2018. This highly regarded stamp of approval by Australia’s Consumer Group CHOICE® is based on test reviews of 140 split-system air conditioners and 7,738 respondents in the annual reliability and satisfaction survey completed by CHOICE® annually. Furthermore, the findings are weighted on brand reliability, overall average test score, recommendation ratios and overall customer satisfaction. Read the announcement here. According to CHOICE®, air conditioners are reviewed twice a year – in May and October respectively, to ensure the most accurate results for both the winter and summer seasons. MHIAA Gives Back to Aussies this Summer

In a recent report by the Business Roundtable for Disaster Resilience and Safer Communities, it’s estimated that the cost of natural disasters in Australia is set to increase from $18.2 billion to more than double by 2050. Many Australians around the country have lost their livelihoods to devastating disasters. It’s said to take months, if not years, to recover and this is where MHIAA comes in to play its part. Farmers in New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory and Queensland in particular have been badly affected by prolonged dry weather conditions. Figures show that 99 percent of NSW and 57 percent of Queensland are in drought and, with a presence across regional and remote Australia, Red Cross members and volunteers have been mobilising to support communities locally. CHOICE®, Australia’s leading consumer advocacy group, has recommended three of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioners Australia’s (MHIAA) Reverse Cycle Split Systems in its October 2018 review. With Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioners Australia set to release the KXZW series of water cooled VRF systems to Australia later this year, we took the opportunity to introduce some existing and potential customers to the new system by taking them to visit an installation site in Kualua Lumpur, Malaysia. MHI built rocket launched on mission to international space station After being delayed due to poor weather conditions caused by Typhoon Mangkhut, the HTV-7 freighter (also known as ‘Kounotori’ – meaning ‘white stork’ in Japanese) was successfully launched over the weekend. Built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries under contract to the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, the H-2 Transfer Vehicle lifted off at 1752:27 GMT (1:52:27 p.m. EDT) Saturday. As its name suggests, HTV-7 is the seventh Kounotori mission. MHI to launch world’s largest offshore wind turbine by 2020

MHI to launch world’s largest offshore wind turbine by 2020 Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is working on an offshore wind turbine with an output of 10MW, two megawatts more than the present record holder, according to a report in the Nikkei Asian Review. The Japanese engineer hopes to gain a larger share of the global offshore wind power market, which is expected to grow a 16% a year, expanding six times by 2030, thanks in large part to the growth of the nascent US industry. The turbine will be developed by MHI Vestas Offshore Wind, a joint venture between Mitsubishi Heavy and Denmark’s Vestas Wind Systems. Mitsubishi hopes to bring its machine to market by 2020, ahead of rival projects being developed by General Electric and Siemens.
